The ignition point of natural gas is above 650 degrees, which is not easy to ignite; the density bottom is 0.48, and it is difficult to form a combustion concentration in a fire; the octane number is as high as 130, and the anti-knock performance is good. The explosion limit is only 5-15%, which is safer than gasoline. Vehicle gas cylinders should be used after passing fire, explosion, drop and shooting tests. In the past 60 years since the development of natural gas vehicles at home and abroad, there has never been an automobile accident caused by natural gas explosion and combustion.

The following are some possible faults based on our CNG experience, which is convenient for you to troubleshoot.

1) It's more difficult

After installing the system, it is difficult or impossible to start the vehicle. Check that the ignition timing adjuster is wired correctly. If the connection is correct, unplug the ignition timing adjuster directly and install an emergency plug at the wire harness end; if the wiring is incorrect, correct the wiring

2) do not convert

After installing the system, start the car and find the transfer switch light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out. The system cannot switch to CNG. Check that the speed signal of the gas ECU is properly connected. Read the data of the gas ECU with a personal computer and check whether the engine speed signal is read. If there is no speed signal, change the type of speed signal.

Turn off the engine when switching to CNG, use a multimeter to measure whether the CNG conversion kit is turned on. Please check that the pressure reducer has gas output and that the inlet pressure and vacuum pressure values ​​read by the PC are correct. If not, check if the vacuum line of the differential pressure sensor is reversed; if the pressure is correct, check if the PC reads the injection time. Check the CNG injection rail if there is injection time. Otherwise, check the signal connection wire of the fuel injector.

4) Unstable operation after conversion

If the idle speed is unstable after the conversion, check whether the speed read by the gas computer is consistent with the engine speed through the personal computer. If it is inconsistent, adjust it to be consistent through software; if it is consistent, adjust the injection time through software to ensure that the engine idle speed is stable. Use the same method for other operating conditions of the engine.
